Getting started with Indira on Android
This website explains Indira; the dating app itself is on Google Play. Start with the official listing, check what is available on your device, and decide what you want to share before creating a profile.

1. Open the correct app listing
Use Indira on Google Play. The listing is named Indira -Indian Dating App, with developer VMC INC and package identifier com.indiralove.dating. These details help distinguish it from similarly named apps. Do not install an unrelated download because a search result uses the same name.
Open that link on the Android device you intend to use. If Play does not offer installation, read its device or availability message before proceeding. A website link cannot override a store restriction. This guide does not provide an iPhone download or a browser-based replacement for the Android app.
2. Check current features before committing
At our September 26 review, the official listing described Indian-inspired global discovery, swiping and messaging. It disclosed ads, in-app purchases, and free and premium features. Its feature list marked voice and video calling as Coming Soon. Do not install specifically for calling without first checking that your installed version supports it.
The website discusses optional Kundli context, but a website description is not proof that every feature is available in every app version. Check the app itself for availability, limits and prices. An installation without an upfront charge does not establish that every action is unlimited or free.
3. Prepare a profile that starts a real conversation
Before entering information, write a short private draft with three parts: what you enjoy, what kind of connection you want, and a question someone can answer. For example:
"I enjoy weekend walks and trying new recipes. I would like to get to know someone gradually and see whether our goals fit. What is one small thing you look forward to each week?"
This is a writing example, not a member profile. Replace it with your own interests. A specific, honest detail gives someone more to respond to than a long list of requirements. Leave out your exact home address, workplace schedule and personal identification details.
4. Decide how cultural expectations fit
Choose one topic you would like to discuss early: language, where you hope to live, family involvement, or your preferred pace of getting to know someone. Ask about the other person's view without assuming that a shared background means identical expectations.
If Kundli traditions matter to you, explain what they mean to you personally. They are belief-based context, not scientific proof of compatibility or a substitute for consent and observed behavior. Our birth-details privacy guide covers how to approach that conversation without oversharing.
5. Keep your first session focused
- Read the terms and privacy policy before entering personal information. This guide is for adults aged 18 and over.
- Review any permission request in context rather than automatically accepting it.
- Check the actual purchase screen before buying. Do not assume website wording describes your current plan or renewal terms.
- Write one thoughtful introduction based on something the other person chose to share.
- If you decide the product is not for you, consult the account-deletion instructions; uninstalling and deleting an account are different actions.
When the website and app seem different
Note the app version, device, and the screen where the discrepancy occurs. Explain the expected and actual behavior to the support contact listed on Google Play, without sending passwords, verification codes or sensitive profile information. This is more useful than assuming a missing feature is hidden behind a purchase.
Still choosing an app? Read our Indira, Tinder, Bumble and Hinge comparison for the differences and limitations, rather than treating any app as the right choice for everyone.
